an idea i've been messing with for months. recorded for an assignment for school. it is what it is.
lyrics
trace traces of afternoon. from the window, across the coffee table, and soon to the couch i'm sinking into. light, light over all i see. sunlight over everything. no shade. no survivors. barricaded by summer heat. bare feet on soft carpet. who could ask for more. we can't hear the howls of the wolves at the door. why should we fear what we can always ignore? maybe the walls will collapse. the earth's gonna open up and swallow us all whole. the sun's gonna explode and burn down every home. but it's summer and we just got settled in. so we don't give a shit.
